Sightseeing Saturday – Pirate’s Cove Adventure Golf Review and GIVEAWAY

Pirate’s Cove Adventure Golf in South Yarmouth, Massachusetts is by far one of the BEST places to visit on Cape Cod! In fact, I don’t think I can rave enough about this fantastic location.

When you need a break from sunshine and the beach, head to Pirate’s Cove! They offer fun for the whole family and is absolutely a “must-do” for your Cape Cod vacation!

*NEW this year: The score cards now have a pirate treasure hunt for each course! These are fantastic for helping to entertain little kids while waiting for their turn to play.

Last Fall we had guests visiting from Georgia and we had such a wonderful time making memories together at Pirate’s Cove.

Pirate’s Cove features the largest mini golf facility on the Cape with two 18-hole courses! The staff is exceptionally friendly, the beautiful grounds are immaculate and you’ll find intricate detailing throughout both courses.

The original “Captain’s Course” is located in front…

and “Blackbeard’s Course” is behind that…

You will find waterfalls, caves and the same level of difficulty on both courses. Blackbeard’s Course is handicap accessible. My family played both courses and we highly recommend that you go twice so you can experience both of them.

Here are some highlights that you will find along the Captain’s Course:

The pirate ship located in the water is especially cool!

In fact, every so often the pirates begin “fighting”, cannons fire and water splashes.

My kids really enjoyed watching the pirate “battle”…

On a windy day, you might just feel a little spray of water while waiting for your turn to putt…

The waterfalls are beautiful…

…and the caves are cool.

You’ll find extra attention to details around every corner…

One of our favorite holes on the Captain’s Course starts up high and you go down quite a few stairs to complete your turn…

Blackbeard’s Course is awesome as well! Here are some highlights that you’ll find there:

Like the Captain’s Course, it too, has gorgeous waterfalls…

…and a giant pirate ship!

This one is unique because the hole is actually ON the ship! How cool is that?!

The kids especially enjoyed this hole!

You’ll also find stunning landscaping…

…and more caves…

One of the really neat surprises that you will find in some of the caves on both courses is “talking pirates”. When you see a door that looks like this…

…or this…

…be sure to pause a moment to peek inside!

Similiar to the Captain’s Course, Blackbeard also features a multi-level hole that my children really enjoyed. Here they are watching the ball wind down the path…

 …to a “Hole-in-One”!!

Looking UP at the same hole…

There’s a shark at the end of this course…

…that might just surprise you if you get too close!

One of my favorite special touches that you’ll find along both the Captain and Blackbeard courses are the storyboards. These feature fun pirate facts and are neat to read with your kids while waiting for your turn to putt…

This one was written about the wonderful owner of Pirate’s Cove – Cape Cod…

After you are done playing your round of Adventure Golf…

…be sure to stop by the desk to turn in your clubs. Kids may receive a pirate flag, pirate tattoo or ring.

After your round of golf, be sure to follow the signs in the parking lot…

They will lead you to Pirate’s Cove Marketplace where you can stop for some pirate booty!

Located right next door, the Marketplace features a gift shop with pirate gifts, toys, games, books, nautical items, ice-cream, Blackbeard’s Arcade and more!

You’ll find countless unique treasures, and something for every pirate on your list!

By popular demand, many of the treasures sold at Pirate’s Cove Marketplace are now available for purchase online!

Our family had an absolutely incredible time at Pirate’s Cove! We consider it a “must-do” when guests come to visit us here on Cape Cod.
