I think every little kid dreams of owning a treehouse and spending the night in their secret hideaway. My husband made that dream come true last year for our 11 year-old son Shawn when he built a special treehouse in our yard.
For his 10th birthday, Shawn invited 10 friends to sleep over in there with him. The boys all had a blast (and got precious little sleep). It’s quite the sweet little set-up in there, actually. Shawn took an old TV, VCR and radio and he often will hang out in there with his buddies.
You can imagine his excitement when we told Shawn that we would be staying in a Treehouse Villa at Disney World this past November!
“Nestled in natural forest glens near Downtown Disney, a new type of adventure welcomes guests with the Treehouse Villas at Disney’s Saratoga Springs Resort & Spa at Walt Disney World Resort in Lake Buena Vista, Fla. All 60 three-bedroom homes are elevated 10 feet off the ground on pedestals and beams designed to blend into the natural, wilderness environment. They offer scenic views of lush landscaping or waterways. ” Â
My family discovered that glamorous camping or “glamping,†is taken to a new level at the Treehouse Villas. These unique Villas sleep nine comfortably while offering modern luxuries such as flat-screen TVs, granite countertops, full kitchens and dramatic cathedral ceilings.

We had a BLAST in our Treehouse. We were surrounded by beautiful trees and the boat launch to Downtown Disney was just a few steps away. One thing to keep in mind is that this location is a bit remote, so you may want to have your own car if you are staying here. However, complimentary onsite Disney transportation is available.
If you are looking for a unique experience on your next Disney World vacation, check out the Treehouse Villas! Â As you can imagine, Shawn came home with a whole bunch of ideas for “upgrades” that he would like to do to his treehouse.
