Straight from my heart – A glimpse into what makes my fellow Panelists so very precious to me.
I first “met” Sue over 3 years ago on the DISboards. We were in the final round for the Moms Panel, and we spent a lot of time getting to know each other on a “Hopefuls” thread. In fact, I virtually met Sue and Kathie at the same time. The three of us sent each other messages quite often and we shared the Moms Panel dream in common.
Sue knew in her heart that the she was meant to be a Panelist, and she never gave up. Year after year she applied. Each time she came so close, and yet it was just beyond her grasp.  A true Disney fan, Sue knew “If you can dream it, you can do it” and she kept trying. While the Moms Panelists have absolutely nothing to do with the selection process, I like to believe that we all possess a secret stash of pixie dust. So many of us had become online friends with Sue through the years, and we were all rooting for her amongst ourselves. Finally this year, Sue’s dream came true! I’ll never forget the day that the new Panelists were receiving their phone calls. Sue lives in the United Kingdom, so is in a significantly different time zone. She didn’t get her news until the day after all of the others, and the poor girl was quite beside herself. I was chatting with her on Facebook when she finally received her blessed phone call. I started jumping up and down with happy tears streaming down my cheeks. If anyone deserved a spot on the Panel, it was sweet Sue. Â
I had planned on heading down to personally welcome the newest Panelists during their Training Weekend, and I was already excited. The knowledge that I would *finally* get to meet Sue made me absolutely ecstatic. When I arrived at the BoardWalk Inn, Sue was waiting for me in the lobby.
Sue is every bit as wonderful in person as in email and I was thrilled to be able to finally welcome her to the Moms Panel family.
Deborah, Leslie, Marisol and I were lucky enough to have a little extra time that morning with Sue, Ari and Amanda F. It was great to chat with them before lunch.
For lunch a big group of us enjoyed an informal meal at the Captain’s Grille. Here we were strolling over there together.
Sue has an absolutely beautiful smile that can light up a room. She was beaming with utter joy every time I saw her during the weekend.
Here I am at the Cocktail Reception with two of our amazing new Panelists: Kirsten (our new Candian Mom) and Sue (our new UK Mum). They both are very dear to me and already hold a special place in my heart.
Due to the geographical distance from Disney World, Sue and her family enjoy holidays that are several weeks long. She is the mum of a 13 year-old son who is the light of her life. I’ve heard all about her sweet boy since the day I first “met” Sue years ago. I look forward to the day that I can meet him in person.
As with all of the Panelists, Sue brings a wealth of Disney World vacation knowledge to the Moms Panel. International travelers will find her to be particularly helpful with advice for their holidays. Since Sue stays onsite for several weeks at a time, she is very familiar with “off-the-beaten path” activities. Her favorite resort is the Wilderness Lodge. Be sure to stop by and ask Sue a question, she would love to help you plan your magical vacation.
I love this photo of a big group of the new Panelists, and I can’t wait to introduce them all to you this year!

Sue is truly one of the sweetest people I’ve ever met. I look forward to seeing her again and making many more memories together in the future. I’m so very blessed that she is in my life.
