As a Disney Mom, I’m known for inserting Disney phrases, references and “pixie dust” into our every day lives. I can’t count the times my kids have heard me say, “If you can dream it, you can do it” and “Always let your conscience be your guide.” We don’t eat pancakes, we eat Mickey Pancakes. My 6 year old finds, “Hidden Mickey’s”, everywhere around town. Things aren’t, “cool”…they’re “Magical”. Yeah, you get the idea.
I suppose it shouldn’t have surprised me this morning when I was going through Malia’s backpack and came across what I did. At 8 years old, she is already the epitome of Ariel. She’s free-spirited with a mind of her own, has a strong sense of adventure and even has that gorgeous red hair. I opened one of the spare zipper compartments and found this:

"I've got gadgets and gizmos aplenty I've got whozits and whatzits galore (You want thingamabobs? I got twenty)"
“WHAT is all of this STUFF?!”, I asked.
“Treasures, Mom”.
Steve started laughing hysterically and said, “She’s Ariel, Mommy. She’s got thingamabobs”.
With that, “Part of Your World”, popped into my head:
“Look at this stuff
Isn’t it neat?
Wouldn’t you think my collection’s complete?
Wouldn’t you think I’m the girl
The girl who has ev’rything?
Look at this trove
Treasures untold
How many wonders can one cavern hold?
Lookin’ around here you’d think
(Sure) she’s got everything
I’ve got gadgets and gizmos aplenty
I’ve got whozits and whatzits galore
(You want thingamabobs?
I got twenty)
But who cares?
No big deal
I want more…”
That’s my (Disney) Girl. 😉
