Let’s GIVE KIDS the WORLD!

Today marks the start of the 3rd consecutive year that I have been passionately involved in raising money for Give Kids the World Village in Central Florida. Why did we choose today to kick off our fundraiser?

TODAY, April 18, 2012, Give Kids The World will celebrate an incomparable milestone in community support—more than 2 million volunteer hours served in one location for a single organization. That’s equivalent to 228 years, the terms of 57 US presidents or 16,000 four-year college degrees! This monumental achievement, which will happen during National Volunteer Week, is a rarity among nonprofit organizations. GKTW may be one of only a handful of organizations to achieve this milestone in the United States, if not the world.

It’s difficult to find the words to adequately describe what a magical place Give Kids the World is. I have been blessed to share a part in raising over $20,000 for them so far. This year, my group of Disney loving friends is setting the bar even higher. I hope that you will join us as we fundraise from April 18th – September 18th. Every dollar helps.  http://www.firstgiving.com/fundraiser/DisneyFansGKTW/2012

Please pause for a moment and watch this video. You will, without a doubt, understand exactly WHY this Village has captured such a big piece of my heart…

Here is an article I wrote in 2010 about Give Kids the World. Thank you in advance for helping to make dreams come true for these precious children.
