Sharing weekly tips that will save you time, money or simply make life easier on your upcoming Walt Disney World vacation.
Traveling to Disney World with a picky eater? Curious which restaurants offer the best hope of satisfying a non-adventurous diner? Â
Today I’m focusing on two great options inside the Magic Kingdom Park. A favorite Table Service option is the Crystal Palace.
This wonderful character dining restaurant is located inside the Magic Kingdom Park and serves a buffet of American cuisine at breakfast, lunch and dinner. The atmosphere is upbeat and beautiful. The food is delicious and the interaction with Winnie the Pooh, Tigger, Eeyore and Piglet is always fantastic. In fact, breakfast at the Crystal Palace is a “must-do†for my family on every trip.
There’s something for even the pickiest of eaters to enjoy at the Crystal Palace. The Kid’s Buffet (affectionately named “Pooh Corner”) is a separate buffet just for kids! “Little ones can fill their plates with macaroni and cheese, pizza, green beans and marinara meatballs as well as enjoy any of our other delicious items on the full buffet.†I must make special mention of the “Pooh Toast†for breakfast…cinnamon and sugar covered pieces of heavenly goodness that my family devours every time.
There is also a Live On-Stage Kitchen:
“Watch The Crystal Palace come to life with the sights and smells of the day’s offerings as chefs prepare your fare in the live on-stage kitchen.
The breakfast buffet includes traditional favorites such as omelets, cereals, freshly baked pastries, fresh fruit, breakfast pizza and cheddar cheese potatoes.
The buffet abounds with American favorites like carved flank steak for lunch and sirloin for dinner, rotisserie chicken and Atlantic salmon, along with dishes that have a delicious hint of curry, cinnamon, mango and papaya. Desserts tempt you with a variety of sweet delights.“
Guests looking to please a picky eater at a Quick Service location should head to Cosmic Rays Startlight Cafe.
Â
Located in Tomorrowland, this stellar restaurant is known for its Blast-off Burger, Cosmic Chicken and Starlight Soups and Salads. One of the best things about Cosmic Rays is that they have 3 different “Bays” to order your food from.
In Bay 1, you can order Cosmic Ray’s Chicken among other things. From rotisserie chicken and BBQ ribs to barbeque pork sandwiches, chicken nuggets and more, this Bay is the stop for chicken and pork fans.
Burger lovers should head to Bay 2 for 1/3 lb. deluxe angus burgers, chili cheese dogs and veggie burgers. They have a fantastic toppings bar that includes: lettuce, tomatoes, pickles, onions, relish, green peppers, mushrooms, grilled onions, BBQ sauce, mayonnaise, mustard, ketchup, and cheese sauce.
Guests looking for healthier options should make their way to Bay 3. Here you’ll find great choices such as turkey, vegetable and chicken sandwiches, Greek and beef salads, soup, yogurt and much more.
Children 9 and under will find tasty kids menu options including chicken nuggets, a turkey sandwich, a Smucker’s Uncrustables sandwich, grapes, carrot sticks and fries.
Cosmic Ray’s also has Glatt Kosher meals available on request.
So, if you’re looking to satisfy a picky eater at Walt Disney World (or if you just love a great fixin’s bar for your burger), stop by Cosmic Ray’s Starlight Cafe.
These two great restaurants are sure to please even the pickiest palate on your next trip to the Magic Kingdom.
