Thoughtful Thursday – Cancer

Sharing simple motivational quotes that have touched me in some way.

“If children have the ability to ignore all odds and percentages, then maybe we can all learn from them. When you think about it, what other choice is there but to hope? We have two options, medically and emotionally: give up, or fight like hell.”
 ~Lance Armstrong

In honor of my dear friend Dannee who fought breast cancer and beat it, and in memory of my sweet friend Lu who lost her courageous battle with this disease…I invite YOU to join me in the American Cancer Society’s Making Strides Against Breast Cancer Walk. On next Sunday, October 16, I am leading a Team sponsored by Chevy’s Queen of the Road.

With my ankle injury, I may not be able to walk, but I will cheer everyone on and hand out free Chevy Queen of the Road t-shirts to people who join my team.

There are 2.5 million breast cancer survivors who celebrated another birthday last year because people like you made a donation in support of people like me. Helping the American Cancer Society continue their work in the fight against breast cancer is really important to me.

Last year, Making Strides raised $60 million to help people stay well and get well, to find cures, and fight back against breast cancer – and it happened one $5, $10, $25, and $50 donation at a time. I’ve signed up for this event because I really want to make a difference in the fight against breast cancer, and your donation of any amount will help me do that. You can join our team and donate today:

This is your opportunity to not only honor breast cancer survivors and remember people we have lost, but also to raise funds and awareness to help save lives and create a world with less breast cancer and more birthdays!

As Winston Churchill said, “Never, never, never give up.”

Do not be afraid of tomorrow; for God is already there. ~Author Unknown

Thank you from the bottom of my heart,
