Straight from my heart – A glimpse into what makes my fellow Panelists so very precious to me.
When I went to Disney World in December of 2009 for my Moms Panel Training Trip, there were numerous “Alumni Panelists” who were there to greet us. Bri was one of them. She was on the Inaugural Panel of 2008 and was the first Canadian Panelist. Right away Bri struck me as someone that I wanted to get to know more as she is very outgoing and sweet. Looking back on that time, I recall that Bri was exceptionally friendly and welcoming to us. Her smile lit up the Italy Pavilion during our photo shoot that morning. Unfortunately, we didn’t get to spend a lot of time with the Alumni on that trip, so I was left looking forward to the chance to get to know all of them better.
I got that chance with Bri last December, when I was now one of the Alumni who headed down to welcome the newest Panelists. Bri was there with her daughter and she joined us for Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party. We met up with them at the Columbia Harbour House for hot cocoa and sugar cookies before enjoying some of the Party together.
I thoroughly enjoyed spending a few hours with Bri. She is a wonderful single mom to her sweet daughter. Her little girl has visited Disney World over 15 times already, and is as big of a Disney fan as her Mom. When they travel to Disney, they go for several weeks at a time and have made countless, priceless memories there together.
Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party is my favorite Special Event at Disney and I’m so thrilled that my memories of my most recent visit to the Party include Bri.
Even though I only got to spend a couple of hours with Bri that night, since then we have exchanged quite a few emails. The more I get to know her, the more I love her. Bri is a very positive person. Even though life has a way of throwing us some curve balls sometimes, Bri never fails to look on the bright side. She is an incredible role model for her little girl and is a gift to everyone that she meets. I consider myself very blessed to call her my friend and I look forward to the chance to spend more quality time with her in the future. Maybe if I’m really lucky, I’ll visit her in beautiful British Columbia with my family someday.
Bri can be found sprinkling Pixie Dust as she answers questions on the Panel.
