Give a Day, Get a Disney Day

Disney is celebrating volunteerism with the “Give a Day, Get a Disney Day” promotion.

We signed up for a Volunteer Opportunity in Hyannis, making Valentines goody bags for Senior Citizens.

Here’s Shawn and I cutting the tissue paper for the goody bags:

Even though Malia and Kassia weren’t eligible for the ticket from this opportunity (too young), they still helped the entire time. They loved being a part of making a difference for someone. So, in spite of the fact that they won’t be rewarded with a Disney Park ticket…they received an intangible benefit that helps to make them better people. Isn’t that what it’s all about? Making a difference in the lives of others?! I’m proud that our family was able to help bring smiles to the faces of Seniors on Valentine’s Day 🙂
